Photo postcard of Charles Wesley with writing on reverse. He is sitting in an office, probably his own, though no other details are currently known. Date is unknown and photographer is unknown. An expert could determine the maker of the postcard, but photo postcards are common and would not tell us anything about who took the photo. Original size about 3.25"x5.25". Black and white. Matte. Goes with "Postcard 2" also on Charles' profile at RA.
Transcription on reverse:
"Daddy - Charles W."
Transcription would imply that his daughter Maxine wrote these words later in life, though it is possible that Ethel wrote it for Maxine earlier. This does not imply that it was taken after Maxine's birth in 1916, as either of the women could have written it at any time later on. In any case, the photo is crisp, sharp, and in good condition.
