Thos & Elizabeth Registry Transcript 1832
Information
This is a transcript of the registry of marriages in the Home District from 1831 to 1833. Microfilm reel MS 248, 1 & 2, at the Archives of Ontario. Need to get a copy.
This document was "cut and pasted" to include the header and just Page 41 (of interest) for this application.
"Govtee" should be "Foster", and the date/location matches the marriage certificate on record. However, that record was incomplete since it did not have the witness signatures.
Here the witnesses are John Hawkins and William Johnson. I believe these to be the brothers-in-law of Thomas' father Robert, and husbands of Eliza and Mary Rutledge, respectively.
All of whom are being tagged on this document, including Robert, to support the theory that they did live around each other after coming to the US and Canada.
